On the Green Green Grassland, the sheep are dancing happily, and the village chief encourages everyone to join the annual dance contest. In the corner, Wilie peeks enviously—he loves dancing too and wants to take part! In the wolf castle, Wolnie and Wolffy are bickering again; Wolnie scolds Wolffy for never catching sheep, and Wolffy wonders why he never can. While teaching Wilie to read, Wolnie tells of how a single stalk of straw breaks easily, but a bundle tied into rope cannot.
